Do You Stay In Touch?

Ready for some more real-world feedback from Jeff?
Here’s round 2:

I was able to get an informational interview with the hiring manager months before the job posted. It was a low-pressure way to find out more about the position and company. After that, I made it a point to stay in touch with her. When it came time for the job to be posted, she personally e-mailed me to let me know it was there. The secondary interview was great, (being) that I already knew her a little bit!”

The key here is not just that Jeff took the time to get some advice from the hiring manager – but that he then made it a point to stay in touch!

You know what they say…out of sight, out of mind.
