Are You Too Chicken to Try Frog?

When’s the last time you tried something for the first time?

Last night I coached at a networking event for the Project Management Institute.  As you can see in the picture above, I offered people the chance to try something that may or may not have been frog.

As far as I can tell, no one tried it!  I know for sure that no one tried the frog jam.

Why do you suppose no one tried it?

Bonus question:  what do you think was in the pot????  I’ll send a copy of “Linchpin” to the person with the most creative response!

  1. Both dreams and fears simmered succulently within the pot.

People, drawn by hunger, approached in anticipation, their tastebuds aroused . Arriving at the table, they recoiled at the mere sight of what was in the pot. Scurrying away, they searched their pockets and purses for candy or mints to tide them over until they could find decent food.

After the event ended, a destitute busboy arrived to clear the table, exhausted from college and the two jobs he juggled to pay his way. He ate the culinary concoction and as he was finishing his work,…EUREKA… he experienced an epiphany which transformed his life. Excited, he rushed home to complete the project in which he had struggled for so long. After patenting his invention, the young man became wealthy beyond his imagination. When reporters asked how he came about naming his invention “FROGLEG”, he chuckled and began his story of the night that changed his life.

The moral ? Taste, like, beauty is in the “eye” of the beholder.
